For some California residents, it may seem as if new buildings and other construction projects pop up in the blink of an eye. However, those who work on those projects know how difficult it is to construct them and the dangers that they face while working. Unfortunately, construction injuries can happen easily on these projects, and often, they are serious or even fatal.

It was recently reported that a construction accident in a nearby state left one worker with serious injuries. Apparently, the man was working on the third floor of a building that was under construction. The workers were trying to lift a wall into place when the wall collapsed on the man. No additional details regarding how the wall collapsed were provided.

Emergency crews were called to the scene, and rescuers found the man with serious injuries affecting his lower extremities. A rescue basket was used to lower the man from the third floor, and he was transported from the scene by ambulance. The incident was still under investigation at the time of the report, and more information may be provided later.

Suffering serious construction injuries can change a person’s life. California workers who find themselves in this type of scenario will undoubtedly want to get the best care possible in hopes of fully recovering. In many cases, these accidents can qualify a person for workers’ compensation, but applying for and receiving benefits is not always straightforward. Individuals who have been injured on the job may want to determine their options for seeking benefits.
